Comments on AC Lines

I spent this afternoon replacing the refrigerant lines in my wife's Taurus (okay, 3.8L SLO LX). Just wanted to pass along:
- acsource.net was terrific. All three lines for under $200 delivered fast, can't complain about that.
- "Quick" disconnects can be tough even with the right tools. Then the next one's a snap. Go figure.
- The eBay kit of HNBR o-rings does not include rings large enough for where the manifold bolts onto the compressor. eBay kit is a good buy, but seems designed for imports. Just mentioning.

Sore subject - spent three Sundays in a row replacing the suction line/dry assembly hose on my car - which of course is a unique, special order only part for the '94-95 MTX's. Had to buy three different branded hose assemblies to find one where the parts were sized correctly to mate to the factory ¾" spring lock females connectors. What a RPITA. Heck for $59.95, I just took the car to a local shop to have it evacuated, pressure checked, then refilled with oil and R134A.
