Tune Time
Here is the plug for the front speakers and other stereo system wires that go from the factory amp to the front of the car.  Everything is being voluntarily replaced, except the front speaker wires, which would be a real hassle to rerun through the door harnesses.  It would be handy to be able to reuse the factory wires, and save tearing up more of the interior, especially from the doors to the firewall.  I used an AA cell to determine which wire went to which speaker (pop, pop, pop), and connected leads from those wires at the plug to connect to the amp.
The factory front speaker wires are labeled, and ready to have leads soldered onto them to connect to the amps.
At this point, the car went to AudioHouse in Napa, for a complimentary install of the deck, connecting of the amps, and finishing the installation of the subwoofer. It has a cozy little framework that allows for the 90 degree curvature of the rear deck base, which will be covered with material to match the rest of the trunk upholstery.  Nothing will be visible in the trunk other than the rods for the decklid, its hinges, and trunk upholstery.  When I get home from Asia, I will take pictures of the finished installation, to finish this page.   It still had the rear window and the quarters out when it came home from AudioHouse, but at this time it is driveable, needing a bit of interior trim and the console installed to finish the inside.  After the windows were installed, I could adjust the sound, particularly that of the subwoofer.  Awesome!!
(Pics of the subwoofer will come later.)
